m_russinik is a NYC-based dance-rock producer and multi-instrumentalist — blending funk grooves, electronic pulse, and crunchy guitars into something that sounds like LCD Soundsystem, Prince, Beck, and Nine Inch Nails all ended up in the same rehearsal room.

Drawing on his Minneapolis roots, where funk and rock run through the same bloodstream, his music spans alternative dance, dance-punk, indietronica, and funk-rock — sculpted from long-form jam sessions that loop drums, bass, guitars, and synths together until a song emerges.

The live history goes deep. Under previous projects The Carnival Royale and Celebrity Mugshot, he played Le Poisson Rouge, Mercury Lounge, and Highline Ballroom. He's continued testing new material at Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall throughout 2023 and 2024.

The project was rekindled in 2021 after a James Murphy DJ set at Brooklyn Bowl — a night that sent him back to the studio with a clear direction. The result is three new singles — SainT, Thirsty, and Venice is Sinking — with more material arriving through 2026.
