m_russinik is a producer, musical polyglot, and performer located in NYC. Leaning on his Minneapolis roots, his music is a fusion of funk, alternative, and electronic dance rock. A performer with an intense energy on stage, his music can be described as mix of Prince, Beck, LCD Soundsystem, and Nine Inch Nails.

After releasing his music under the names of his previous projects, The Carnival Royale and Celebrity Mugshot, he is embracing his roots of funk, electronic, and rock under the new project name m_russinik.

In 2021, m_russinik went back into the studio after seeing a James Murphy DJ set at Brooklyn Bowl, which inspired him to sculpt songs out of long form jam sessions looping drums, bass, guitars and synths on the fly. After testing out new music over the course of 2023 and 2024 at Mercury Lounge and Rockwood Music Hall, he crafted more material for upcoming releases in late 2025 and 2026.
